Marcus Thuram's chances of being signed by Chelsea and Arsenal have significantly improved. When his contract expires in the summer, the 25-year-old will depart, according to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Following his outstanding achievements for France at the World Cup in Qatar, he has been strongly connected with a number of Premier League clubs, notably Manchester United, Liverpool, and Newcastle. Thuram had been expected to sign a new contract with Monchengladbach, but he has turned down many offers and will be a free agent at the end of the current campaign.
“We were in open communication with both players and knew the current status," said Roland Virkus in an official club statement. "It's a shame that they won't be extending their expiring contracts, because we've both given a lot in terms of sport over the past four years.
