CHELSEA a massive boost in their bid to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane – after telling former club Man United NOT to make a move for the Tottenham man.
The 29-year-old faces an increasingly uncertain future at Tottenham after entering the final 18 months of his contract, and there has been constant speculation about where he will end up.
Kane has enjoyed a record-breaking campaign in 2022-23, becoming the all-time leading goalscorer for Spurs and England. Despite all the creative talents that CHELSEA and Man United have – they both do not have a striker that has the ability to bang in 30-goals a season – and will be looking to sign a forward during the summer transfer window.
But now – amid all the speculation – Vidic has warmed Man United off trying to sign the £100 million valued striker. Vidic is not convinced that Kane would be a perfect fit, as the striker is set to turn 30 in July.
In response to Rio Ferdinand's question about whether United should pursue Kane on his YouTube program FIVE, Vidic said: "I will not acquire the striker if I am not sure, 100 percent. How much does it cost? What is his age? He has been a top striker for the past ten years and will score goals, but I will most surely consider other possibilities.
I will choose other options no matter what. There is a method for keeping a striker for a long time.
The team must search for players who are 23, 24, and plan to stay for seven years if they are found. Particularly in the team's heart.
