Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Benfica winger Diego Moreira this summer, according to reports in Portugal.
The 18-year-old has decided not to renew his contract with the Portuguese team, which expires at the end of the current campaign.
Record claims that Chelsea has pushed in and has come to an agreement to sign Moreira after his Benfica contract expires.
According to the report, Chelsea defeated rivals Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan.
Moreira earned his Benfica senior debut last year, but hasn't played for the first squad this year despite being a regular for the B team.
At international level, Moreira was born in Belgium but has represented Portugal Under-16s and Under-18s.
The 18-year-old will face a tough task of breaking into Chelsea’s first-team squad this summer, given the number of attacking players already at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino is favourite to become Chelsea’s next permanent manager after Julian Nagelsmann pulled out of the running this week.
The 35-year-old, who was sacked by Bayern Munich last month, had held talks with Chelsea’s hierarchy but is now looking at other options, including the possibility of joining Tottenham.
