Chelsea have decided that they will listen to offers for Conor Gallagher in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Several teams are reportedly interested in signing the England international midfielder, including Everton, West Ham, Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace.
Gallagher, who has a deal with Chelsea through 2025, has made 37 appearances so far this season, but the club could be forced to sell academy graduates due to Financial Fair Play pressure after spending more than £600 million since the summer.
The 23-year-old made a huge impression while on loan at Crystal Palace in the Premier League last year, earning Player of the Year honors for the team.
West Ham are said to view Gallagher as a possible replacement for Declan Rice, who is expected to leave for Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United this summer.
Liverpool have also entered the race while there is further interest from Newcastle, who may be able to offer Gallagher Champions League football
Eddie Howe’s side are currently fourth in the table with eight games left as they look to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition.
Everton attempted to sign Gallagher in the January transfer window and were willing to pay up to £45m but he was not interested in a move to the Toffees.
Glen Johnson thinks that Gallagher would jump at the chance to join Liverpool from Chelsea if they can offer him regular game time.
‘He can certainly kick on under a good manager and you can understand why Liverpool are in the market for him,’ Johnson told Betfred. ‘Liverpool may be able to get him for relatively cheap. I think he would bite Liverpool’s arm off to get that opportunity if I’m being honest.’
