Chelsea host Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge later tonight needing to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg.
Both goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and boss Frank Lampard confirmed some words were exchanged after the Brighton defeat over the weekend. Still, both had no problem having them around as it showed their interest.
Manager Lampard said: “I am comfortable with that.
But I think when an owner is very invested in their interest in the team and want to help and improve, it is their prerogative to have the input that they want.
“I remember the moments as a player of owners first coming into dressing rooms, it actually happened here at Chelsea, it never really happened to me before.
Chelsea have lost 12 league games already and Lampard is their fourth manager this season, they also have to turn around a 2-0 deficit from the first leg of the Champions League tie if they are to progress to the last four.
Club legend Lampard has lost all three games he’s been in charge of so far and will be desperate to kickstart his caretaker role against Madrid later tonight.
