In a recent statement, Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma after previously managing Chelsea, said that he is "happy" with the Italian club despite rumors that he would like to return to Stamford Bridge.
Graham Potter was replaced by Frank Lampard, but he would only lead Chelsea through the end of the current campaign.
Chelsea now has time to look for a new permanent manager who would take over the team for the upcoming season.
Chelsea have drawn up a manager shortlist of those who could emerge as their next permanent manager and there are possibility Mourinho could be on it.

However, the Portugal international while speaking after Roma reached the semi-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night, said he is happy in the Italian Seria A.
“I’m happy here at Roma. I love the people, and they like me.
“Sometimes I’m frustrated, but I’m sure there’s room for improvement here,” Mourinho said.
