Madrid Confirm one absence during Sunday’s training ahead Of Chelsea Trip

With just one absence from their training session on Sunday, Real Madrid will probably be nearly fully staffed for the second leg match against Chelsea.

Toni Kroos and Vinicius Jr., who missed Saturday's victory over Cadiz, will be available to face Chelsea, according to an earlier statement from Carlo Ancelotti.

The two participated in Sunday's practice as well.
Ferland Mendy is still absent from the group, according to the official website of Real Madrid, due to a thigh ailment.

Mendy was absent for the first leg as well, and Edouardo Camavinga took Mendy's place.

Those who started at the weekend mostly spent the day on a recovery session, while the rest did fitness work, and worked on set-pieces and possession drills.

A few key Real Madrid players, such as Luka Modric and David Alaba, got plenty of rest before their trip to Stamford Bridge.

The only surprise was that Ancelotti let Karim Benzema play the full match against Cadiz

Since Benoit Badiashile is not listed in Chelsea's Champions League squad and Marc Cucurella will probably play wider because of Ben Chilwell's ban, Kalidou Koulibaly's absence from the second game could cause problems.

Trevoh Chalobah and Wesley Fofana, who often play on the right, may have to play on the left to cover the vacuum if Chelsea decides to play a back-three identical to the one from the first leg.

Frank Lampard stated that although Kai Havertz missed the most recent game against Brighton, he should be available on Tuesday.

Mason Mount has featured several times for Chelsea in the last couple of weeks but has yet to make the starting line-up since sustaining a pelvic injury in February.

Joao Felix: Chelsea news Felix, who reportedly makes £250,000 per week at Chelsea, transferred there on loan from Atletico Madrid of Spain during the January transfer window. It's been a difficult period for the Portuguese international, with the Blues not playing a system which suits the role he's predominantly played in his career. As per Transfermarkt, Felix has mostly played as a second striker during his time at Benfica and Atletico, but he's mainly been used off the left-hand side at Chelsea. Despite his difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge, it appears that both Felix and Chelsea want to continue together beyond this season. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed this news but has st...
