It appears as though Mauricio Pochettino will take over as Chelsea's head coach. After both Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann withdrew from consideration for the position last week, the Argentine has emerged as the front-runner, and the former Tottenham manager is now anticipated to take over as the new man in charge.
The hiring would be a forerunner for the next season even though Frank Lampard will likely continue to serve as interim manager till next season. It will be Pochettino's first position in almost a year since leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Because of the French giants' outlandish character, even the overstuffed roster, disjointed fan base, and underwhelming players at Stamford Bridge might turn out to be a stroll in the park.
That itself might be slight hyperbole but the point stands, Pochettino has been around the block after his time in Paris.
