Premier League rivals Chelsea and Man United look set to go head-to-head in the battle to sign Nigeria ace Osimhen this summer.

The 24-year-old has had an outstanding season in Naples, scoring 26 goals in 31 games to help Luciano Spalletti's team extend their lead atop Serie A to 14 points.

After relying heavily on Kai Havertz for the majority of the season after Romelu Lukaku's departure for Italy last summer, Chelsea is hopeful that Osimhen will help them with their goal scoring woes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a former captain of Arsenal, was signed by the Blues on deadline day, but his time in west London has been terrible, and both parties are prepared to call it quits at the end of the current campaign.

But Chelsea face fierce competition from Manchester United in the race to sign Osimhen, with Erik ten Hag said to be determined to bring the goalscorer to Old Trafford.

United are in the market for a new striker having released Cristiano Ronaldo earlier in the season and using Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst up top in the second-half of the campaign.
However, according to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea may have an advantage over Manchester United because Napoli are interested in signing Hakim Ziyech, and there is speculation that he might be used in a trade involving Osimhen.
The Blues have previously stated that they plan to sell about ten players this summer, including Moroccan winger Ziyech.
The 30-year-old put together four strong seasons at Ajax before moving to Stamford Bridge for £33 million in 2020, but he has struggled in the Premier League.
Graham Potter, the former manager of Chelsea, was prepared to loan Ziyech out in January, but the transfer to Paris Saint-Germain on the final day of the transfer window fell through for legal reasons.

Chelsea are preparing for a summer clear-out primarily so the club can recoup some of the £600m Todd Boehly has spent on new signings, but also because there is a consensus that so many players has made it impossible for the team to thrive this season.

The west London club have dropped into the bottom-half of the Premier League and were knocked out of the Champions League last week by Real Madrid.

While Osimhen has been one of the best players in Europe this season, he was unable to prevent Napoli from also crashing out of the Champions League at the hands of Serie A rivals AC Mil

Inter have made the asking price clear for wingback Denzel Dumfries during the summer transfer window clear, with incoming Chelsea coach eyeing up a move for the Dutch World Cup star.

This according to Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the 27-year-old is a major target for the Argentine who is expected to take over at Stamford Bridge, and that the Nerazzurri would expect a fee of at least €40 million for his signature. Dumfries’s future at Inter has looked uncertain for some time now, with the 26-year-old former PSV man having been strongly linked as a possible sale during the summer transfer window should the Nerazzurri need to bring in cash from the market. The likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have been reported to be interested, whilst Barcelona have reportedly also enquired about the Dutchman for the summer transfer window. However, in March Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Dumfries is no longer a major target for Chelsea as he had been in the past. The situation at Stamford Bridge has been in flux, however, with Graham Potter removed as head coach just a few months after taking over, replaced with Frank Lampard on an interim basis.

Journalist Simon Phillips has suggested that Chelsea fans are losing their patience with £250k-a-week star.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea supporters are "losing their patience" with Joao Felix, according to GIVEMESPORT. When he first joined the team, the 23-year-old appeared to be an exciting signing, but he is having trouble scoring goals. Joao Felix: Chelsea news Felix, who reportedly makes £250,000 per week at Chelsea, transferred there on loan from Atletico Madrid of Spain during the January transfer window. It's been a difficult period for the Portuguese international, with the Blues not playing a system which suits the role he's predominantly played in his career. As per Transfermarkt, Felix has mostly played as a second striker during his time at Benfica and Atletico, but he's mainly been used off the left-hand side at Chelsea. Despite his difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge, it appears that both Felix and Chelsea want to continue together beyond this season. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed this news but has st...

Chelsea will express their interest in signing Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana during their upcoming meeting with Inter Milan over Romelu Lukaku’s future, according to Evening Standard.

The newspaper claims Blues’ officials will travel to Italy next week to discuss the future of Lukaku, who is due to return to Chelsea in the summer when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.  The Belgium striker moved to Inter on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea last summer and has impressed at the San Siro Stadium, scoring nine goals and registering three assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.  The West Londoners are planning a summer clear-out in order to meet the Financial Fair Play requirements after spending £323m in the winter transfer window on eight new players as well as splashing out close to £300m last summer. However, bringing in a shot-stopper could be on the cards as they look to bolster their squad for next season. Edouard Mendy is  expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign after losing his first team place.
