Recent days have seen the rise of Mauricio Pochettino as the new favorite to lead Chelsea.

Both Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are allegedly no longer in the running to succeed Graham Potter permanently after much discussion about their potential competition.

It's crucial that whoever will be in charge is given the opportunity to implement their plan as quickly as feasible given the bloated first team squad that will undoubtedly grow throughout the summer.

Here are three current Chelsea players who would be in line for a significant victory if Pochettino is given the position.

It may not be a case of Fernandez being prone to be dropped depending on who the new manager is, but his compatriot coming in would be good news for the midfielder. The 22-year-old has been a rare positive in a dire few months for the Blues, however the signs he has shown suggest he has the ability and potential to be a key figure at the club for years. Pochettino will have been very observant of the former Benfica man at the World Cup in Qatar, where his country went on to win the whole thing. His young player of the tournament performance will have left its mark on the potential new boss.
