Zinedine Zidane, the former manager of Real Madrid, is said to have decided on his future position after being recently connected to both Chelsea and Tottenham as they look for Graham Potter and Antonio Conte's replacements at their respective London teams. The French legend has not been employed since he left Los Blancos for a second time in 2021. He took his time to choose his next destination.
In his four and a half years at the Bernabeu, Zidane won three Champions League and two La Liga championships. If Chelsea or Tottenham are successful in luring him to the Premier League, it would be a significant accomplishment. The Blues hired Frank Lampard on a temporary basis after firing Potter earlier this month because they allegedly conducted a comprehensive search for a replacement.
Julian Nagelsmann ruled himself out of the race, and Zidane has been mentioned alongside the likes of Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino and Vincent Kompany while a similar shortlist appears to have been drawn up at Spurs. However, neither team may end up with the coach with the most accolades on the list in Zidane as he reportedly has chosen his next venture.
French outlet RMC Sport have claimed that Zidane wants to return to management in the summer and that while several teams do hold an interest him, his former club Juventus are the side that he wishes to take charge of next season.
