Napoli have reportedly increased the asking price for their key player and Nigerian star Victor Osimhen days after they won the domestic title for the first time in 33 years.
Days after claiming their first Italian Serie A championship in 33 years, Napoli reportedly raised the asking price for their top player and Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen.
According to a rumor from the Italian outlet Il Matino, the Azzurri have raised the Nigerian's asking price from €150 to €160 million.
This is thought to have been done to stave off summertime interest in the 24-year-old striker.
Top European teams like Bayern Munich, PSG, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United have all at various points been connected with efforts to capture Osimhen in the summer transfer window, which is no longer breaking news.
This is coming after Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis had stated that the club would do everything possible to keep Osimhen this summer.
However, there are speculations that the Serie A winners will agree to a lucrative offer for the striker.
Osimhen is currently the top goalscorer in the Italian league with 23 goals in 27 matches this season and has been tipped to clinch an award this season.
