The England midfielder’s father, Mark, met Real officials in London on Monday and Bellingham is open to the prospect of sealing a sensational summer move to the Bernabeu.
Liverpool and Manchester City have both been interested in the 19-year-old, whose contract with Borussia Dortmund runs until 2025. But Real are convinced they will now complete a deal for Bellingham, who has become one of the world’s greatest young talents for Dortmund and England.
Now a starter for both, and often captain for his club, the former Birmingham midfielder has been widely expected to make the second move of his young career at the end of this season.
Joining Dortmund in 2020 in a £20million deal from his boyhood club, Bellingham is now expected to fetch well over the £100m mark. Such a fee saw Liverpool drop out of the race, but a number of Europe’s elite were circling, including Man City, with Madrid now emerging as the overwhelming favourites.
Previous to his move to Germany, Manchester United approached Bellingham, who even toured the club’s training ground.

Instead he opted to develop his career in Dortmund, winning the 2021 DFB Pokal and this year competing for the Bundesliga title.
In that period he’s managed 21 goals in 130 games, while also becoming a starter at the 2022 World Cup for England.
