Mauricio Pochettino’s first task at Chelsea will be to coax more out of Raheem Sterling

One aspect of Chelsea's underwhelming performance against Nottingham Forest would have made newly recruited manager Mauricio Pochettino smile if he had been watching from a distance.

According To A Reliable Source: Todd Boehly has two major changes in mind at Chelsea

New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to have identified a team need that a potential Blues signing would help to fill. Pochettino has a full to-do list for Chelsea ready to go when he arrives at Stamford Bridge. Prior to joining the club, he will also be developing his Blues priorities. Anyone who has watched CFC play this season is aware that a significant shake-up is necessary. And ‘Poch’ has already singled out the position that requires his immediate attention: the goalkeeping role. This could leave either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy demoted or departing. Many stoppers are linked with Chels’ at the moment.  Todd Boehly has two major changes in mind at Chelsea The CFC chairman has work to do.  He also seems the kind of chap who would never give up on his objectives before they are achieved. We can see that in the form of his business and financier practices, as well as the success at baseball team Los Angeles Dodgers. However, things have gone drastically...

Mauricio Pochettino To Decide On Romelu Lukaku Chelsea Future

As things stand, Lukaku will only be an Inter player for a couple more months. The striker, who turns thirty this weekend, is only at the Nerazzurri on loan until the end of the season.   Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta confirmed some time ago that Romelu Lukaku will return to Chelsea when his loan deal ends. What has been more of a mystery is what will happen after that.  The Nerazzurri CEO has stated that it will be up to the two clubs to see if they can agree a new loan deal. Moreover, the player’s form has always looked to be a key factor. Whilst Lukaku has started to get back to his best and be decisive in recent matches, the fact that this has been an inconsistent and injury-hit campaign for him has made the Nerazzurri less interested in bringing him back for another season.   According to the Mirror, Inter have little interest in bringing Lukaku back. Todd Boehly is planning a significant change to the hierarchy at Chelsea, in advanced talks with Chris Jurasek to come in as new chief executive at Stamford Bridge.

Jurasek presently serves as both the CEO of EagleView Technologies, a company that Clearlake Capital has invested in and the operations executive of Clearlake Capital, the private equity group that co-owns the Blues. According to The Times, negotiations to move him to west London are nearly complete, and Jurasek's appointment is a part of a "broader management restructure" that will affect Tom Glick, the current president of business. Even though Glick only started working for Chelsea in July as the former chief commercial officer of City Football Group, if he shows up as anticipated, it appears that Jurasek will be his immediate supervisor. It has been something of a chaotic time for Chelsea since Boehly and Clearlake bought the club last year and the period of upheaval is obviously not at an end. Frank Lampard remains in charge of the first team as temporary manager but the club legend will not be in that role next season, with a new boss still to be announced. Former T...

Napoli have reportedly increased the asking price for their key player and Nigerian star Victor Osimhen days after they won the domestic title for the first time in 33 years.

Days after claiming their first Italian Serie A championship in 33 years, Napoli reportedly raised the asking price for their top player and Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen. According to a rumor from the Italian outlet Il Matino, the Azzurri have raised the Nigerian's asking price from €150 to €160 million. This is thought to have been done to stave off summertime interest in the 24-year-old striker. Top European teams like Bayern Munich, PSG, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United have all at various points been connected with efforts to capture Osimhen in the summer transfer window, which is no longer breaking news. This is coming after Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis had stated that the club would do everything possible to keep Osimhen this summer. However, there are speculations that the Serie A winners will agree to a lucrative offer for the striker. Osimhen is currently the top goalscorer in the Italian league with 23 goals in 27 matches this season and has been ti...

Pochettino identifies midfielder that will play key role in his squad

Mason Mount has been named a crucial member of his squad by Argentine international and former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, who is widely expected to be Chelsea's next manager. This occurs as questions remain about Mount's future with the club. The English midfielder is thought to be a target for Pochettino because he sees him as a potential crucial member of his team. According to a report from the Daily Mail, Mount's work ethic and technical proficiency are greatly admired by the former Tottenham boss. Mount will be out of contract at Chelsea in June 2024 and there has been little progress in regards to the negotiations on a contract extension. Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge, Mount has been linked with a summer exit, with Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Arsenal all showing interest and willingness to sign him. Like Chelsea, Mount has struggled to impress this season, scoring only three goals and creating six assists in all competitio...

Three Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing Emiliano Martinez, who is expected to depart Aston Villa this summer.

According to Argentine outlet TyC Sports, Chelsea and Manchester United are chasing the 30-year-old’s signature. However it’s Tottenham who hold the most significant interest in the World Cup winner’s services.   Martinez has truly announced himself as one of the top goalkeepers in world football due to his performances for club and country. As well as shining for Villa, the ex-Arsenal shot-stopper was a standout performer as Argentina won football’s Holy Grail in Qatar in December, with Martinez proving to be the hero in a dramatic penalty shootout.  While Aston Villa are currently right in the mix for a spot in Europe next season, the prospect of joining one of the Premier League’s top clubs could be too good to turn down. Both United and Chelsea are looking at alternative options as they look to bolster their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new season. Meanwhile Spurs will be looking for a replacement for Hugo Lloris, with the club favourites to sign the ex-Reading...

Chelsea's £60m flop will be handed a 'lifeline' by incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino.

When Mauricio Pochettino settles into his new office at Chelsea’s smart Cobham training base he has much to get his head around. This bloated Chelsea squad needs some tender care to bring star players back to life - but ruthless decisions also need to be made in order to trim the playing staff.  The to-do list is not short yet he has to start getting through it fast. Choices over the future of some well established players as well as some emerging stars are going to give him early headache. Here we look at some of the situations that need sorting... Goalkeeper When Chelsea begin the next campaign it is almost certain that one of the current keepers will be gone and at the moment Edouard  Mendy the favourite to do so.  At least three clubs are interested, with French club Monaco thought to be leading the race at this early stage. But there is also real potentialh for them to go into the market and buy a goalkeeper.   Mike Maignan, Diogo Costa and Andre Onan...

N'Golo Kante has described Todd Boehly's Chelsea aspirations as an 'exciting project' and given a major hint that he will stay at the club.

Kante's future has been subject to plenty of speculation in recent weeks, with the Frenchman's contract due to expire in June. Recent reports, however, have suggested the 32-year-old will agree an extension at Stamford Bridge – and he clearly wants to help the club recover following a dismal first season under Boehly's ownership. For sure,” “ Kante told Sky Sports when asked if he wants to be a part of the club’s future. "It’s an exciting project for the club. Unfortunately this season hasn’t been to Chelsea’s standards. “But everyone wants to go in this way, the way of success and winning titles. I hope this club will again fight in this direction. Let’s see where I will be but I hope that this is a change for the club, that is most important.” Many of Kante's long-term Chelsea team-mates look braced to leave the club this summer, with Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount among the potential departures. But they could do worse than keeping hold of the World Cup winner...

Chelsea are set to sell a number of senior players in the summer transfer window as Todd Boehly looks to trim down the Blues' bloated squad ahead of next season

Chelsea have accepted the likelihood that Mateo Kovacic will leave the club this summer after spending five years at Stamford Bridge.  The Croatian midfielder joined the Blues on loan from Real Madrid for the 2018/19 campaign before signing a permanent deal the following summer. Kovacic has helped Chelsea win the Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup but now looks set for a new challenge next season. Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in signing the 29-year-old midfielder.   Reports have suggested the Croatia international's representatives are reported to have held talks with City over a proposed move to the Etihad Stadium. Prior to Raheem Sterling's move to west London last summer, he revealed that Kovacic always caught his eye as it now looks increasingly likely that the Croatia star will leave Chelsea and join Pep Guardiola's side. Only one year will be remaining on Kovacic's curren...

Chelsea are inclined to sell Mateo Kovacic this summer before his contract expires in 2024, with both Manchester sides and Bayern Munich interested.

With his contract set to expire in 2024 and the chances of him signing a new one seemingly unlikely, The Guardian report that Kovacic is likely to leave Chelsea this summer with interest in the midfielder piling up from several high-profile side Chelsea need to find a way to decrease the size of their incredibly bloated first-team squad ahead of next season, and the report claims that Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are reluctant to keep players who are entering the final 12 months of their deal.  That, combined with a need to raise funds, means Kovacic is well-positioned to become one of several big-name departures. Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the Croatian midfielder, with Manchester City also following the situation closely as they potentially prepare to say goodbye to Ilkay Gundogan. Another club linked is Manchester United, whose search for another fresh face in midfield this summer is common knowledge - the Red Devils have also been linked to Mason Mount, who finds ...

Chelsea FC Starting XI Prediction vs Nottingham Forest

Kudos to Chelsea- they heard my warning, and responded to it with authority! I said last week that if Chelsea weren’t interested in playing during the rest of the season, then I wasn’t interested in writing and posting a lineup prediction for the rest of their games.   Sure enough, they broke their losing streak, and they did so in thoroughly convincing fashion. So I guess they are interested after all, and we should see that against Nottingham Forest. Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest FYIs Kick: Sat May 13, 3pm, Stamford Bridge Predicted starting lineup for Chelsea FC vs. Nottingham Forest Kepa, Kante, Fernandez, Kovacic, Silva, W. Fofana, Badiashile, Havertz, Mudryk, Felix, and The Sports Bank's manager and owner is Paul M. Banks. Author of "Transatlantic Passage: How the English Premier League Redefined Soccer in America" and "No, I Can't Get You Free Tickets: Lessons Learned From a Life in the Sports Media Industry," he is also the author of both books.

After weeks of negotiations with the Argentine over the open position, Chelsea remains optimistic that Mauricio Pochettino will be named the club's new head coach in the near future.

When a club spends north of £100million on a footballer, there's no doubt that said player is going to have a significant role to play. When Enzo Fernandez was brought in by the club for almost £107million in the January transfer window, he was clearly going to be a crucial part of the first-team for the remainder of the season. Back then, Chelsea still had some sort of European ambition.  They were still in the Champions League and a place in this season's top-four wasn't completely out of the question. However, since Fernandez was signed – after weeks of tireless work behind the scenes to persuade former the midfielder's former employers Benfica – plenty has changed at the club. Graham Potter, the man who was in charge  when the Argentine arrived at Stamford Bridge, was sacked from his role as head coach at the start of April. Bruno Saltor took charge for one game before the club announced the return of Frank Lampard on a temporary basis until the end of the season....

Rafael Leao could be one of the most coveted young forwards in the transfer market this summer with a handful of Europe's top clubs eager to bolster their frontlines

Rio Ferdinand has forewarned Chelsea that the competition for AC Milan player Rafael Leao will include the biggest teams in the world. The 23-year-old forward was rumored to be moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but nothing came of it. Since joining Milan in 2019, according to football.london, Leao has been attentively followed by the Blues. His contract with the Rossoneri is set to expire at the conclusion of the upcoming season. There are rumors that negotiations for a new contract between the Italian team and the Portugal international are still ongoing. Speaking on BT Sport, Ferdinand revealed just how excited he is still see Leao in action against Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final. The former Manchester United defender said: "I saw him for 45 minutes at Chelsea, he was phenomenal. In a semi-final, it’s such a showpiece game to see a player of that calibre." Leao and Reece James engaged in a fierce struggle in November, with the Blues defender coming ou...

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could come out of international retirement following a request from the president of Gabon.

There may be hope for Aubameyang, who is considering reconsidering his decision to retire from international football, despite a dismal club season for Chelsea. The Gabonese striker met with Ali Bongo Ondimba, the president of the nation, who is seeking to persuade Aubameyang to come out of retirement, according to the Daily Mail. According to the article, the 33-year-old forward and his family have a good relationship with the president. The forward is reportedly'seriously considering' making a comeback for the national team, for which he scored 30 goals in 72 appearances. Gabon are looking to secure their place at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, which Aubameyang could play a part in if he is to return to international action. AND WHAT'S MORE:  The 33-year-old signed for Chelsea last summer  following a short but sweet spell with Barcelona,  but has largely underwhelmed. Thomas Tuchel was sacked shortly after Aubameyang arrived at the club, with the striker failin...

Declan Rice transfer news: West Ham would reportedly lower their asking price from £120m to £100m if a player is offered as part of a deal

According to Sky Sports, if a player is provided in exchange, they could reduce the asking price to £100 million. Rice's desire of playing in the Champions League will not be thwarted by the Hammers, and while Chelsea won't be participating in that league next year, they are among the teams rumored to be interested. Despite this, Arsenal is presently in the lead, with several other "big six" teams keeping a watch on the condition of the England international. Despite Chelsea's desire to add even more talent to their roster, the summer transfer market is also expected to be very active. The squad is currently in desperate need of trimming down after a £600 million transfer spree over the last 12 months, though that could work to Chelsea's advantage in the race for Rice. Many of the players set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer will command a decent fee and therefore could tempt West Ham into selling to Chelsea. Despite having played a more prominent role und...

Chelsea could use Christian Pulisic or Romelu Lukaku in a swap deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

To Vote 🗳️ Click here Osimhen has been named as one of the club's primary targets. The London giants are set to sign a headline striker in the upcoming transfer window. The Daily Mail believes that even though Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has stated that the Serie A team is not for sale, they will cave if they receive a bid of £130 million. According to the source, Chelsea may try to negotiate a player-plus-cash trade for Osimhen with Lukaku or Pulisic going to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Ambitious Chelsea have lacked a regular goalscoring threat this campaign. They have netted just 34 goals from as many games. Kai Havertz has been the top-scorer with just 7 goals. Hence, they must find a solution and Osimhen could be the answer to their problems. The Nigerian has netted 28 goals from just 35 appearances for Napoli this season. He would be a huge upgrade on the likes of Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but the big question mark is whether they can finalise te...

Chelsea look set to appoint their next manager ahead of the Premier League campaign coming to an end.

Chelsea's next manager will reportedly be given the green light to sign three players in the summer transfer window and Brentford star Ivan Toney could one of them. The Blues are counting down the days now until their disastrous season comes to an end having fallen into the bottom half of the Premier League.  There will be no European football at Stamford Bridge next season for only the second time since 1999. For whoever comes in as the club's next manager, they'll have the summer to try and fix the issues that arose throughout this campaign.  Frank Lampard has been unable to make a difference since coming in on a temporary basis. But it's hoped at Chelsea that a full pre-season with their new manager can help get them back on track. The 'overall plan' for Chelsea, according to Simon Phillips, is to bring in a striker, a goalkeeper, and a deep-lying midfielder. The primary priority is to sign a center forward because Chelsea has had scoring problems all season...

Christian Pulisic Drawing Interest of AC Milan, Napoli, Juventus

WIN OUR $5 BTC TOKENS It is not up for debate anymore whether or not Christian Pulisic should leave Chelsea FC. The debate to be had now is where he should go. Pulisic went an unused substitute in the Blues win this past weekend, after having been left out of the team entirely the week before.   As we wrote last week, if Pulisic never plays for Chelsea again that would be just fine. So where can he go? The American is being strongly linked to Italy’s Serie A.  As you can see from the Tweet above, a former Chelsea forward who made the switch to AC Milan believes that his current side is the perfect place for Capt. America to go. “I think everyone would like it. He’s a big name in Europe, so that would help us,” said Giroud, who played with Pulisic at Chelsea. He is that kind of player with great skills, with great talent. He is a cheerful boy, always smiling. We laughed a lot with him. Our understanding on the pitch was also excellent, a bit like with Eden Hazard, ...

£70million is too much for Inter Milan striker and Chelsea target Lautaro Martinez

A report caught The Pride of London’s eye on Monday. It claimed that Chelsea want to make former Liverpool star Sadio Mane their first summer signing. A major headline at the start of this new week is the Blues‘ supposed interest in Mane, of course. The claim may surprise some, but I feel CFC are looking to add further Thiago Silva-style veterans.  Bayern are willing to sell, and the English capital side shall submit a proposal, says the story. Soon-to-be Chels’ manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen on Mane, too. £70million is too much for Inter Milan striker and Chelsea target Lautaro Martinez I could certainly get on board with the Blues making a marquee signing up front during the off-season and ready for a pivotal subsequent campaign. Martinez is a proven goalscorer in Serie A, as well as at international level in general. He is not prolific whilst competing in the Champions League, but definitely has had his moments over the years.

Chelsea transfer news: Barcelona can help Chelsea's transfer efforts this summer, especially when it comes to landing a striker

Finding methods to help Chelsea's goal-scoring problems is their top focus going into the summer transfer season. The next head coach will have a significant task to tackle once they are appointed because there are issues with both opportunity generation and finishing. Mauricio Pochettino is the undisputed favorite at this point in the game.London is aware that the former Tottenham manager is getting closer to accepting the position but has not yet done so. The lengthy wait is due to the hierarchy's use of a careful process to choose their next hire. Interim manager Frank Lampard has taken charge of the squad until the end of the season, allowing for a clean slate for the manager-in-waiting. With just one win in his tenure so far, the former midfielder was quite frank in his assessment of the assessment, saying last month: "Is there an issue with the balance of the squad? Maybe, yeah." As the club starts to plan for the future, it implies that some squad players who a...
